106. What Is That Monstrosity?
Possible Camera Used: FujiFilm X-S10
Where to Buy: FujiFilm, Amazon
Avg. Cost: $1,000*
Have you ever noticed how children react to bubbles being blown, especially if they have never seen them before? You can hear the reaction before you can see it: with loud squeals of joy and happiness and gaping mouths and eyes, all children react almost the same way to bubbles.

But that is not it! You may be surprised to know, but your dog may also react the same way if it comes face to face with bubbles for the first time. This picture stands as a testament to the fact that human or animal bubbles are enough to intrigue everyone. The photo was also featured in the Mars Petcare Comedy Pet Photo Awards.
107. The Origin Of The Side Eye
Possible Camera Used: Canon EOS R6
Where to Buy: Canon Global
Avg. Cost: $2,000*
Did you know that there exists a competition that features the ugliest dogs in the world or a country? No matter how horrible it may sound, such competitions exist to give seemingly ugly dogs a chance to validate themselves and win something through their features. This picture was captured at the 18th Annual World’s Ugliest Dog Competition, and we believe this was the origin of the famous side-eye.

Elwood – the dog featured in the photo – seems visibly cross with its owner for dragging it to a place where it is being commended for its ugliness. We also have a clear view of its pink tongue, which the doggo seems to have no need to put back into its mouth.
108. Caught In The Midst Of Scandalous Gossip
Possible Camera Used: FujiFilm X-S10
Where to Buy: FujiFilm, Amazon
Avg. Cost: $1,000*
There is nothing like sitting in a well-lit restaurant, munching on some chips and having the talk of your life with your best friend where you both dish out hot gossip. Everyone does that, may it be men, women, or, well, seals.

Seal gasping George Cathcart/ComedyWildlifePhoto
Photographer George Cathcart caught this seal duo in the middle of an intense gossip session, where one of them seems absolutely scandalized by what it has heard. The other has a smug expression on its face as if telling its friend, “I told you so.” We do not know what these seals communicated about, but we would love to get some animal kingdom gossip.
109. Who Said Ostriches Didn’t Like Pictures
Possible Camera Used: Canon EOS R6
Where to Buy: Canon Global
Avg. Cost: $2,000*
Ostriches are known for dunking their head in the sand when faced with unforeseen and unfavorable circumstances, and honestly, we wish we could do the same. But this ostrich does not look like the rest: it stands confidently in front of the photographer’s camera, posing for its picture to be taken.

It must surely love its thin neck and small face to stand so close to the camera so it captures only what matters and appeals to the world’s beauty standards. But the photographer does not seem to be doing a good job, and you can ascertain that from the ostrich’s unamused expression.
110. Gloria The Hippopotamus
Possible Camera Used: Canon 4000D
Where to Buy: ID Wholesaler
Avg. Cost: $657*
This epic picture was featured in the Comedy Wildlife Photo Awards and surely deserves to be. The first thing that comes to mind when one looks at this picture is Gloria the Hippo from the Madagascar movies, gracing our screens hand in hand with Melman the giraffe. But this particular Gloria has wings, so we can safely assume she has some connection to the wildly famous film franchise.

We know the reality: a beautiful peacock is boasting its wings right behind the hippo, creating the visualization of a hippopotamus with wings. The photographer did a fantastic job capturing this perfectly timed photo, but let’s assume this is a winged hippo!
111. Friendship That Knows No Bounds…Or Species
Possible Camera Used: Nikon D750 DSLR Camera
Where to Buy: Walmart
Avg. Cost: $1,500*
Thomas Mangelsen captured this epic, perfectly timed animal picture that holds the potential to end racism, discrimination, and all kinds of segregation. The picture features a little penguin and a seal breaking barriers between the animal and human kingdom and embracing their friendship with a chest bump.

Mangelsen titled his picture “Chest Bump,” and it was featured in the Comedy Wildlife Photography Awards held in 2019. Both the penguin and the seal seem visibly happy with their friendship, expressing their emotion the best they can. There is nothing we dig more than inter-specie friendships!
112. Where Did The Cake Go?
Possible Camera Used: Sony Alpha A7 III
Where to Buy: Walmart
Avg. Cost: $1,580*
We have all had one or two birthdays where the cake looked just too scrumptious to not let your intrusive thoughts take over. Thoughts that dictate us to pick up the cake and embrace the satisfaction of taking a bite out of it whole! Although you can take a bite out of a piece of cake, it does not yield the same dopamine rush as the former.

But just because humans cannot give in to their intrusive thoughts does not mean animals cannot as well. And we hail this gorilla for doing what it wanted to do: get its hand dirty and munch on the entire cake!
113. NYC’s Very Own T-Rex
Possible Camera Used: Panasonic LUMIX FZ300
Where to Buy: Amazon
Avg. Cost: $498*
If the world were to have a global capital, many people would argue in favor of it being New York City. It is the dwelling place of skyscrapers, the Big Apple, and the city that never sleeps, so you are bound to find one strange thing after the next in this giant. Just look at this picture of a Tyrannosaurus Rex walking its pet dog. One glimpse and you would immediately conclude a thing like this can never exist anywhere other than the mighty NYC.

This picture was captured during the 28th Annual Tompkins Square Halloween Dog Parade. The context is helpful because at least now we know that New Yorkers do not always go around like this.
114. Hi There, Human!
Possible Camera Used: Canon EOS R6 Mark II
Where to Buy: Canon
Avg. Cost: $3,600*
Polar bears are perhaps the only creatures in the world that are so cute you momentarily forget just how deadly they can be. So if this picture is swaying your judgment, don’t let it! These furry white teddy bears can sweep you off their feet in one instant and conveniently break every bone in your body.

So, if you ever spot a polar bear, it is best to run to safety instead of trying to capture a picture like this photographer did. Kudos to the photographer’s bravery for revealing to the world the adorable side of polar bears who like waving at humans!
115. True – Flamingo – Love
Possible Camera Used: Canon EOS R5
Where to Buy: Canon
Avg. Cost: $3,400*
If you have ever gone through the in-built wallpapers in your PC, you must have come across a vivid picture of two flamingos craning their necks to make a heart. Such pictures seemed photographed or animated to almost everyone who looked at them until photographer Federico Gambarini proved them otherwise and showed the world the reality behind such pictures.

This perfectly timed picture features two flamingos in a loop, completing each other and their hearts with their necks craned at all the right angles. Who knows, this might be the way flamingoes express their love to one another, quite literally!
116. Why Did You Wake Me Up?
Possible Camera Used: Canon EOS Rebel T7
Where to Buy: Target
Avg. Cost: $400*
We all remember snippets from childhood where our parents forcibly woke us up from an untimely nap and got us dressed to go out to a relative’s house or an occasion we had no interest in. If you were a victim of such groggy dressing up, we relate to you, and so do millions of other humans and … well, dogs.

This dog perfectly depicts the unamused expression of being taken somewhere by force – a Pride parade in this case. Its expressions show that he is certainly not interested in this human dilemma, and neither does it like the big rainbow bow thrust upon it. Its parents should have let it sleep!
117. Too Cool For You
Possible Camera Used: Sony A9 II
Where to Buy: Sony
Avg. Cost: $4,500*
Tiny sunglasses took the fashion industry by storm recently, appearing in the pictures of celebrities and influencers alike. Consequently, the general public started abandoning their oversized sunglasses and going for the smaller ones because who doesn’t like to stay on top of the changing fashion trends? Apparently, not even dogs.

This adorable dog picture features OJ, a 7-year-old pup who stands in all its glory on the Embarcadero, looking dashing with its tiny sunglasses. The dog’s owner – not featured in the picture – stands right next to it, giving us a taste of San Francisco’s true fashion trends that work as well on dogs as on humans.
118. The Best Dog Award Goes To…
Possible Camera Used: N/A
Where to Buy: N/A
Avg. Cost: N/A
This picture seems pretty old, judging by its black and white sheen and the man’s vintage-looking coat. But the man is not the center of attention here; the well-trained dog relieving itself in the designated spot is.

We see numerous public toilets outside but never have we ever come across such a well-built dog toilet to share the burden of dog owners. Imagine how great it would be to revive this tradition and erect dog toilets around our cities, reducing waste and the hassles of dog parents! But if only all dogs were trained enough to use them the right way.
119. Absolute Dog Bliss
Possible Camera Used: Sony A1
Where to Buy: Sony
Avg. Cost: $6,500*
We talked about the annual competition that calls the ugliest dogs in the world to compete, so it is only evident that its counterpart exists as well. This picture deserves a spot on the animal pictures Hall of Fame, because of just how adorable it is!

Dog laughing ©TIMOTHY A. CLARY/AFP//Getty Images
The photo features Flynn, the cute little snowy ball of fur who won the “Best in Show” award in a competition arranged by the Westminster Kennel Club. Flynn’s owner seems happy enough in his own right, but nothing can compete with the look of absolute bliss on the doggo’s face. It surely is very proud of itself, as it should be!
120. The Perfect Timing
Possible Camera Used: Panasonic LUMIX FZ300
Where to Buy: Amazon
Avg. Cost: $498*
This picture offers us a glimpse into what an African vacation would look like if it went outside the group chat and actually happened in real life. Imagine the serenity of standing with your friends in a cool stream, throwing water on a friendly elephant enjoying its bath time just like you.

As much as the beauty of this picture is captivating, there is something else that you should look at. There is not one, but two elephants in the picture! Look at the picture the water being splashed is making, and you will find the real elephant’s twin hiding in plain sight. Talk about a perfectly timed picture infused with sheer luck!
