6. Mars’ Ice Cliffs
Found Year: 2018.
Who Found It: Colleagues and Colin Dundas
Where: Mars
In terms of humankind’s future, well, if a sustainable water supply is not discovered elsewhere in the cosmos, then there simply isn’t a future for humanity beyond Earth. Promising discoveries have been made on both our moon and Titan, one of Saturn’s moons, over the years. Not as encouraging, though, as what Colin Dundas and colleagues discovered in 2018.

Ice cliffs on Mars are one of the planet’s secrets that Dundas and his crew discovered and may hold the key to humanity’s long-term survival. but not cliffs of justice. Solid ice can be found on Mars just beneath one-third of its surface. It is still unknown, though, if it is ice as we currently understand it.
