6. Kimchi: The Fermented Immune Booster

A classic symphony of immune-boosting components and good probiotics, Kimchi is a traditional Korean fermented vegetable dish. Rich ecosystems of helpful bacteria produced by fermentation maintain gut health, which is inherently related to immune system functioning. Research has indicated that the lactic acid bacteria in kimchi can boost immune cell synthesis and natural killer cell activity. Cabbage, garlic, ginger, and chilli peppers taken together offer a strong mix of minerals, vitamins, and antioxidants to promote immune system function. Additionally improving the bioavailability of certain nutrients, fermentation helps the body to absorb them more readily. Regular kimchi intake has been associated to increased gut health, strengthened immune response, and more general health results.
