One of the most popular tourist destinations in the world is the Moai Statues. The Rapa Nui people built the statues, which are situated on Polynesia’s Eastern Island, between 1250 and 1500 A.D.

The sculptures at Moai depicted influential individuals who had departed from this life. These enormous blocks of stone, each weighing fourteen tonnes and standing thirteen feet tall, were an engineering marvel. Archaeologists are still baffled as to how the Moai were skillfully crafted without the use of any tools.
