9. Your head is where you lose the most heat.


We’ve all heard the advice, “Always wear a hat when going outside! Your entire body heat will be lost. Some individuals even contend that a bare head might lose up to 50% of body heat. In reality, our heads don’t shed the majority of our body heat. The heat produced by one bodily component is equal to the heat produced by the other. In cold weather, this means that wearing a hat and a light jacket or going without a hat but wearing a thick coat will not make you any warmer.
