7. Fixing fading clothing
Coloured clothing may appear faded after multiple washing machine cycles. A brilliant object can be preserved longer by using ordinary salt or white vinegar. For synthetic clothes, vinegar works well; for natural fabrics, mixing two to three tablespoons of salt with the washing powder will bring out the colours again.
