4. Early Summer Splendor (June)
June offers to Huanglong the early summer splendour marked by ideal temperature and maximum biodiversity. With the surrounding meadows and forests creating a rich tapestry of flora, the scene reaches its best green intensity. During this time the travertine pools get their most brilliant colour since the more sunshine penetration improves the natural mineral colours. Many different butterflies and insects that give the beautiful surroundings movement and life are visible to visitors. While the moderate temperatures make trekking and sightseeing more fun, the longer daylight hours give more chances for exploration and photography.
