Green Light, Red Light
Given how deadly this runway is, we’re not even sure how it was approved for construction. Cars are required to halt at the light while planes are allowed to land safely on the runway at Gibralter International Airport. When the barriers are up, cars are able to drive past, which puts everyone in grave risk in the event that an emergency landing is necessary and the plane has to wait for a clear patch of road.
