But occasionally the countryside in fairy tales is uninteresting. We don’t want to make you feel bad before your well-deserved vacation; instead, we just want to dispel some myths about well-known locations so you can be better prepared. Christ the Redeemer, Rio de Janeiro

The pedestal of the Statue of Liberty is not even bigger than the statue of Christ the Redeemer in Rio de Janeiro. The pedestal and basement of the Statue of Liberty are 153 feet high; however, the height of the statue in Brazil is just 125 feet. The Statue of Liberty is 305 feet tall at its tallest point.
